Working Process
Nature Wisdom was born during Buckminster Fuller Institute Trimtab Space Camp as a mission proposed to be developed during the 5 week course in January 2021. Ricardo from Venezuela, Felipe from Colombia, Riki from Kenya, Yoshimi and Jon from New Zealand joined Luciana and Alex to work on the mission. After the course we decided to continue with our weekly meetings. After more than a year, other projects have been born. TetraMeme, developed by Yoshimi and Jon, and Arbolaria Tropical, developed by Ricardo and we are very happy to keep evolving together.
Our 2021 meeting minutes have been curated by Yoshimi and can be found here.
We are using TetraMeme ecological framework as a tool to help us structure our ideas and make sure we are considering the important interdependent relationships in our project as well as its context.
TetraMeme uses metaphors of Nature and its 4 elements (earth, air, water and fire) represented in a tetrahedron that folds and unfold. It helps to identify the elements for an holistic solution, exploring contexts and potentials.
Apart from the Nature Wisdom Project TetraMeme (see above), we applied it in an architecture project we are developing. A house remodeling to be converted in a research center and some rooms for visiting researchers. The project is still under development. See more here.
