HUMANACÁ

The Nature Wisdom Project

Nature Wisdom is a project that envisions the transformation of people and their relationship with nature. By being in a natural environment and seeing us as nature, the project seeks to facilitate learning processes and awaken environmental awareness through experimentation and manual making.

We want to combine ancestral knowledge with current technology in the search for a future more connected with nature, less alienating and more communal. Our focus is on building things, relationships and processes and training people to have autonomy in building a future with less environmental impact, respecting all beings.

We want to honor the knowledge of our ancestors, who allowed us to get here, using the best humanity has to chart a new path, inspired by the processes and methods of nature.

Like the wind sculpturing and changing the dunes, we want to transform our relationship with nature. From a "user" perspective to a "member" perspective.

Like the trees in the forest protecting each other from the wind and communicating by the mycelium network, we want to create a community of people and places devoted to protect and work with nature.

Like “João de Barro” (Furnarius rufus) who builds his nest with the opening opposite to the wind, we want to occupy the land consciously, building according to the local characteristics and making our project a showcase of solutions.

Like the sunset in Jericoacara, where people get together to watch the sunset and applause it, we want to make the nature sacred, make the work with nature a ritual and get people together to do both, through courses, workshops and immersions.

Nature Wisdom will be a center for knowledge exchange in the countryside of São Paulo, Brazil. A place of immersive learning where people can stay for days, months or years. A vast program of activities, courses and workshops will engage the local community and visitors from all ages.

Some places are being considered for this project. Ranging from 70 minutes to 220 minutes from São Paulo, a megacity with more than 20 million inhabitants in southeast of Brazil.

All the sites are inspiringly beautiful, surrounded by nature and wildlife.
